Janitza electronics GmbH brings a particularly cost-efficient energy measuring device with Ethernet interface to the market. The UMG 96RM-EL is the little brother to the UMG 96RM-E. Typical applications are low voltage and medium voltage distribution systems. The device is intended for the measurement and calculation of electrical variables such as active energy (kWh), voltage, current, power, harmonics (up to the 40th harmonic), etc. Inputs are available for three voltage measurements and three current measurements (via current transformer .../5A or .../1A). The real effective values (TRMS) of the voltages and currents connected to the measurement inputs are measured here. The UMG 96RM-E measures continuously and calculates all effective values over a 10/12 period interval (200 ms).

The measurement results can be displayed directly on the device, thanks to the large, rich-contrast LCD display, and read off via the Ethernet interface and further processed. Reliable and quick data transfer and easy integration into the network are achieved thanks to the Ethernet connection, as well as communication via Modbus/RS485. A push function is already integrated for the Janitza Energy Portal (www.energy-portal.com), through which visualisation of the measurement data and the benchmarking of various sites becomes child's play; and all this without costly investment in data servers, software or other IT equipment.

The UMG 96RM-EL can be programmed in several ways. This is possible either via the programming and analysis software GridVis® (GridVis®-Basic included in the scope of supply) or directly via the LCD display. Measurement data can be correspondingly called up via various channels. The compact UMG 96RM-EL ensures detailed logging of the power data and the load profile, and is available right now at a list price of EUR 275.
